Terms of service

A ledger between friends. Chukta records who owes whom — it doesn’t move money, and recorded payments aren’t proof a payment happened.

Chukta is made by Waseem Ahmad (OrchestrateIT on Google Play). You must be 18 or older to use Chukta.

Chukta is free, with no ads and no paid tier. If an optional supporter tier is ever added, it will add extras only and never lock anything you rely on.

Enter honest amounts, only add people to hisaab they belong in, and use reminders respectfully.

Do not use Chukta to harass, threaten or bully anyone; to post hate speech or sexual content, or anything that exploits children; to spam, scam or impersonate someone; or to share someone's private information without their consent. Comments, names and photos you add are seen by the other members of that hisaab.

To report a comment, press and hold it in the phone app, or choose Report beside it in the web app. To report a person, a photo or a hisaab name, open Help → Message support → Report someone or something, or email help@chukta.app.

We review every report. We can remove content that breaks these terms, and we can delete the account of anyone who breaks them seriously or repeatedly.

Chukta has no private messages or mentions; if someone in a hisaab bothers you, a member who can edit it can remove them in the phone app (an admin cannot be removed), and you can always leave the hisaab.

Export or delete your data whenever you like. Hisaab you leave, or that you shared before deleting your account, keep their shared history — your entries belong to the hisaab too, under “Former member” once your account is deleted.
