Does Chukta work offline?

Yes — completely, and not as a special mode. Adding, editing, splitting and recording payments all happen on your device first, so they are instant whether or not you have signal.

What you'll see

An amber banner appears with the number of changes waiting. Your balances already include them, so the arithmetic on screen is the arithmetic you'll settle by. When you reconnect, everything merges in seconds.

Needs internet: seeing other people's new expenses · invites and joining groups · cloud backup. Everything else is local.

If two people edit at once

Both versions are kept. Chukta shows you the two and you pick — and either way both stay in that expense's edit history, so nothing quietly disappears.
